My name is Barry and I'm glad you're here. I have been involved in psychotherapy for the past six years, and working with clients for the past four years. I have trained in diverse types of therapy, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Integrative Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy and Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy.

Life can be difficult and sometimes we need a little time and space to help us find our way through the challenges we face. My counselling practice can provide you with a safe, confidential, welcoming, and non-judgemental space to allow you to explore the areas in life that are troubling you. 


I work with people who may be struggling with anxiety, stress, low-mood, low self-esteem, loneliness, grief/loss, relationship difficulties, work, and family issues. Sometimes people may simply be feeling overwhelmed with life in general and are seeking to change patterns of behaviour and negative habits.


Psychotherapy offers you a chance to slow down and step out of your daily life, refocus on your needs and goals, and create a new path of self-development and learning. I believe passionately that everyone has the capacity to make the changes needed to achieve the life they desire.


I am an integrative counsellor and believe that different approaches suit different people and tailor my approach to each person. My philosophy is Person-Centred, and I believe that client and counsellor are equal partners in the therapeutic process. Empathy, genuineness, and acceptance of the client just as they are guide my practice. I have experience of helping people of all age groups move towards positive and lasting change.
